Leather Armor
This armor project was inspired by some leather armor from the History Channel show Vikings. Using three small hides of textured sheepskin and rabbit fur, I created the bracers first to get comfortable with the material. The bracers are lined with a lightweight leather. I used elastic lacing for easy wear. The main feature of the armor body is the decorative lacing along each seam. Each panel was stitched and the holes punched as I went, spreading out the hole punching. Leather lacing is used for the decorative elements and binding the armscye. The neckline is finished with a fur collar.
