Intimate Apparel

This 2017 production of Intimate Apparel displays early Edwardian clothing designed by Bobbi Owen. One of the challenges posed by this production was that the smoking jacket needed to fit two men of different sizes perfectly. Two identical jackets were created to fit each man, and in different parts of the play both were worn by the prostitute Mayme.

For this production I was the draper for:

  • Esther's wedding dress of silk dupioni with silk organza sleeves and lace godets and lace details on the bodice.

I was the tailor for:

  • The smoking jacket made for George of silk brocade with quilted velvet shawl collar, cuffs, and pocket flaps

  • The identical smoking jacket worn by Mr. Marks
