Shakespeare in Love

This stage adaptation of the film was produced at the Illinois Shakespeare Festival in 2018. Costumes were designed by Christina Leinicke who created an Elizabethan world more accessible to a modern audience.
All of the looks for Viola were constructed in the shop, as were Queen Elizabeth's gown and the looks for the wealthier men - Wessex and Burbage. Many of the ensemble looks were heavily modified garments from stock. We constructed three Elizabethan corsets, two bum rolls, and two farthingales as well.
